TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Legal Newsline) - The assets of InterFace 3 LLC were frozen on Monday as part of a lawsuit filed by Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi alleging misleading sales practices by the talent agency.

Soliciting customers in shopping malls, the company allegedly used ego-inflating sales tactics to lure families with promises of launching their children into modeling and acting careers, and then charged inflated fees for its services.

Fees ranged from $500 to $5,500 and were intended to pay for photos, marketing and other services, Bondi said. Customers complained, however, that they did not receive the promised services.

The company's salespeople allegedly made misleading statements that contradicted terms listed in the written agreements, lied about cancellation policies and did not provide refunds when confronted by slighted customers.

The Attorney General's Office has received 240 complaints about the company.

The current lawsuit seeks restitution, as well as reimbursement for investigation costs and legal fees.
