WILMINGTON, Del. (Legal Newsline) - DuPont and Widener University School of Law are sponsoring a daylong seminar in September that will feature discussions on patent litigation, non-practicing entities and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The 22nd annual IP CLE seminar is set for 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 30 at the DuPont Country Club in Wilmington.
The seminar will feature presentations by judges, academics and practitioners on the following topics:
- Judicial panel discussion on district court patent litigation;
- The impact of non-practicing entities on IP policies;
- Online trademark enforcement strategies; and
- The PTO’s operations and policy efforts.
Returning this year to speak are Gale R. “Pete” Peterson, a former technical advisor to Chief Judge Howard Markey of the U.S. Court of Customs and Patent Appeals, now the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and also a former patent examiner; and David Hricik, who teaches patent law at Mercer University School of Law.
Other guest speakers include Rhonda Trotter and Paul Llewellyn, attorneys at Kaye Scholer LLP.
