Pa. AG brings additional charges against Sandusky

Kelly

HARRISBURG, Pa. (Legal Newsline) - Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly has lodged additional charges against Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State University assistant football coach who stands accused of sexually abusing young boys over the period of a decade.

The new criminal charges, also brought by the state police, bring to 10 the number of children Sandusky is accused of having molested.

The two new counts were announced Wednesday by Kelly.

"Today's criminal charges were recommended by a statewide investigating grand jury, based on evidence and testimony that was received following the initial arrest of Sandusky on Nov. 5," Kelly said in a statement.

According to WPVI Channel 6 Action News in Philadelphia, Sandusky was sent to county jail after being unable to post $250,000 cash bail. The station also reported that Sandusky was ordered to have electronic monitoring.

The latest criminal charges come following grand jury testimony from two additional young men, identified as Victim 9 and Victim 10. The two were allegedly molested by Sandusky when they were very young, as was the case with the other alleged victims.
