FRANKFORT, Ky. (Legal Newsline) - Democrat Jack Conway has won a second term as Kentucky's attorney general.
With 58 percent of precincts reporting, Conway was coasting to a victory over Republican Todd P'Pool, according to WLKY. Conway, at 8 p.m., had received 77,000 more votes than P'Pool and led 58 percent to 42 percent.
P'Pool received support from GOP leaders like former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Conway, meanwhile, bounced back from a loss in the race for U.S. Senate last year. Rand Paul defeated Conway, who was elected Kentucky attorney general in 2007.
Conway was the legal counsel and deputy cabinet secretary for former Gov. Paul Patton. P'Pool is the Hopkins County Attorney.
