Blagojevich fired from reality show

NEW YORK (Legal Newsline)-Just as he was fired from being Illinois governor, Rod Blagojevich was canned Sunday night from NBC's competition show "The Celebrity Apprentice."

Blagojevich was fired from the reality series hosted by business tycoon Donald Trump after a four-episode run on the show.

He was sent packing after taking part in a team challenge to create an interactive display promoting the new "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" at a Universal theme park in Orlando, Fla.

Blagojevich, who served as the project manager for the men's team delegated oversight of the construction and design for the 3-D project to Poison rock star Bret Michaels, and then left New York for Orlando with supermodel Selita Ebanks, the leader of the women's team, to research the new Harry Potter section of the theme park.

Blagojevich's Achilles heel seemed to be that the former governor did not know how to text message or send e-mail messages back to his teammates back in the Big Apple.

Because of his technological deficiencies, he was only able to relay information to his teammates through phone calls, most of which could be heard by Ebanks, who e-mailed and texted her team throughout her visit to Orlando.

Blagojevich, 53, was ousted from office in January 2009 after being arrested on federal corruption charges. He is accused of attempting to sell President Barack Obama's former U.S. Senate seat in exchange for political and personal favors.

The former Democratic governor, who has denied any wrongdoing, faces trial this year.
