La. GOP: Vote Royal

Alexander

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Louisiana Republican party recently decided to endorse Royal Alexander in his campaign to become the state's next Attorney General.

It is a campaign that is off to a good start, as Alexander's finance reports show a large advantage over Democratic incumbent Charles Foti.

"Royal's mission of bringing effective and efficient leadership to the Attorney General's Office has been inspiring to good government Republicans across the State," Republican Party of Louisiana Chairman Roger Villere Jr. said, according to a Monday report in The Town Talk of Alexandria.

Alexander is a former Administrative Law Judge and also Chief of Staff to Rep. Rodney Alexander. He received his law degree from Oklahoma City School of Law.

Alexander also was an attorney with Smith and John in Shreveport. Recent campaign finance documents show he has raised $435,808.32, compared to the $76,025 raised by Foti.

"Our campaign for Attorney General has tremendous momentum at this point," Alexander said. "Obviously, Charles Foti's re-election bid is treading water."
