LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Legal Newsline) -- Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor, raised more than $400,000 in the final months of 2012.
A 91-page campaign contribution and expenditure report filed with the Secretary of State's Office Tuesday shows McDaniel raised $386,027.45 from Oct. 1-Dec. 31 for the primary election.
A separate, seven-page report shows the attorney general's campaign raised an additional $24,500 during the same period for a possible primary runoff.
According to The Associated Press, McDaniel now has a cash balance of more than $1 million for his 2014 gubernatorial campaign.
McDaniel took office in January 2007, succeeding Mike Beebe, who is the state's current governor.
So far, the attorney general is the only Democratic candidate for governor.
According to the AP, former Congressman Asa Hutchinson has said he will run for the Republican nomination. However, he has not started to raise funds for his bid.
