SAN FRANCISCO (Legal Newsline) — A Marin County woman has filed a class action lawsuit against Boar's Head, alleging negligent misrepresentation.

Theresa Forsher of San Rafael, California, filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Aug. 25 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Boar's Head Provisions Co. Inc., alleging the defendant presented false and misleading information regarding its cheese products.

According to the complaint, Forsher suffered damages from purchasing a cheese product that was falsely advertised as "natural." The plaintiff alleges Boar's Head says its product is "natural" despite knowing that it contains GMOs.

Forsher seeks trial by jury, restitution of all monies, compensatory damages, punitive damages, legal fees, interest and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Michael R. Reese of Reese LLP in New York, and by Melissa S. Weiner and Christopher J. Moreland of Halunen Law in Minneapolis.
