Phone 01

LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) – A California man alleges a dental finance company has been unlawfully contacting him.

Pedro Polanco filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on July 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Smile Brands Finance Inc. and Does 1 through 10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that from 2016 to February 2017, the defendant contacted him in an attempt to collect an alleged debt.

The plaintiff holds Smile Brands Finance Inc. and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff without his consent using an automatic dialing system.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500 in statutory damages, $1,500 in treble damages and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills, California.
