PORTLAND, Ore. (Legal Newsline) — An Oregon woman has filed a class-action lawsuit against Issues & Answers Network, Inc., and Does 1 through 10, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Linda Helm filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Jan. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, alleging that the defendants called the plaintiff to solicit their services.

According to the complaint, the Helm alleges that in August 2015, she sustained damages from being called on her cellphone. She holds Issues & Answers Network and Does 1 through 10 responsible because the defendants allegedly continued to call her even though she revoked any consent to call her.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $500, treble damages of $1,500 and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Joshua Trigsted of Trigsted Law Group, P.C. in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
