SAN ANTONIO (Legal Newsline) — A former assistant vice president for student financial aid at Baylor University is suing the college, citing alleged retaliation and wrongful termination.
Lynn Wheeler Kinyon filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of
against Baylor University, alleging that she was terminated for opposing the university's unlawful practices.
According to the complaint,
alleges that she sustained damages from being terminated and was threatened during her exit interview. She holds Baylor University responsible because the university allegedly told Kinyon to resign by the end of November or she would be terminated without any severance packages. The complaint also states that her status with HR would be "not eligible for rehire."
requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages; past and future medical expenses; exemplary damages; court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by John Judge of Judge, Kostura & Putman, P.C. in Austin, Texas.
