BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Legal Newsline) — Geico is suing a New York chiropractic business, alleging fraud.  

Government Employees Insurance Company, Geico Indemnity Company, Geico General Insurance Company and Geico Casualty Company filed a complaint Dec. 19, in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York against Jamaica Avenue Chiropractic PC. Mark Heyligers and David Kreshover, alleging they submitted fraudulent insurance charges.

According to the complaint, Geico suffered monetary damages of $28,000 because participated in a fraudulent scheme in order to reimburse sums of money from the plaintiff for no-fault insurance charges and electro-diagnostic tests.

Geico seeks trial by jury, declaration that the defendants have no right to receive payment for any pending bills submitted to the plaintiff, compensatory damages of more than $28,000, plus punitive damages, interest, court costs, and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by attorneys Michael A. Sirignano, Barry I. Levy and Frank P. Tiscione of Rivkin Radler LLP in Uniondale, New York.
