Stockholder alleges 1-800-Flowers violated federal securities law

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Legal Newsline) — A stockholder is suing 1-800-Flowers.com, alleging violation of federal law.

Shiva Stein filed a complaint Nov. 10 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York against 1-800-Flowers.com, alleging the company issued proxy statements to the stockholders for the upcoming annual meeting without complete information.

According to the complaint, Stein suffered monetary damages because 1-800-Flowers.com failed to disclose certain information regarding the compensation plan to its stockholders.

Stein seeks to enjoin the defendant, plus any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by attorneys A. Arnold Gershon and Michael A. Toomey of Barrack, Rodos & Bacine in New York.
