SEATTLE (Legal Newsline) – Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced that his office has filed a petition asking the state court to enforce subpoenas issued against Tim Eyman, his political committees, his for-profit company, and a for-profit signature gathering company.

Ferguson claims that Eyman and the other parties have not disclosed certain documents that they should have under a subpoena issued by his office dealing with alleged campaign-finance law violations.

Ferguson issued the subpoena on Nov. 13, 3015, against Tim Eyman and Voters Want More Choices and Protect Your Right to Vote on Initiatives; Tim Eyman Watchdog for Taxpayers; Citizen Solutions; and its principals, Roy Ruffino and William Agazarm. In the subpoena, Ferguson asked for business and financial information that included banking and tax records.

“Tim Eyman and Citizen Solutions refuse to cooperate with my investigation. I will not accept that,” Ferguson said.

Ferguson’s petition claims that his office’s case against Eyman “has been significantly hindered and essentially stalled by respondents’ refusal to provide the records.”

The petition was filed in the Thurston and Snohomish County Superior Courts.
