LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) - A California consumer is suing a home cleaning and personal care products company, alleging it misrepresents its products as "natural."

Michael Cesarini of Santa ana, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a class action lawsuit May 13 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against The Honest Company Inc. and Does 1-25, alleging breach of express warranty, negligent misrepresentation, and violations of California's Consumer Legal Remedies Act, the state's Unfair Competition Law and its False Advertising Law.

The suit alleges Honest falsely labels many of its products as natural, all-natural, naturally derived and plant-based, and containing no harsh chemicals. The products, the complaints states, contain synthetic, hazardous, harsh and harmful chemicals.

Cesarini and others in the class seek a jury trial, declaratory and injuctive relief, compensatory and punitive damages, interests, restitution, attorney fees and costs of the suit. They are represented by attorneys Ross Cornell of the Law Offices of Ross Cornell in Long Beach, California, and Reuben D. Nathan of Nathan & Associates in Newport Beach, California.
