Colorado Attorney General commends Herron's appointment to court

DENVER (Legal Newsline) – Colorado Attorney General Cynthia H. Coffman has announced the appointment of Patricia Herron, the senior assistant attorney general, to the 18th Judicial District Court.

“Congratulations to Pat on this tremendous honor. I am confident that she will continue to serve the people of Colorado on the bench as she did during her 14 years at the Department of Law, with vigor and a keen love of the law,” Coffman said. “I am proud of Pat and each of our attorneys who work every day to ensure Coloradans are represented fairly and ethically under the law.”

Herron, who has been with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office since July 2002, currently works in the Tort Litigation Unit of the Civil Litigation and Employment Law Section. She represents the Division of Risk Management, state agencies and state employees. Handling personal injury, property damage, civil rights and constitutional cases brought in both state and federal courts, the attorney general's office states that Herron has accumulated a record of advocacy in trials and appeals.

Herron served as a district court judge in Oklahoma prior to her time with the Colorado Department of Law.
